How to Delete AOL Email Account
There can be a myriad of reasons for deleting an AOL email account. Some people delete it. After all, they don’t need it because they have another mailbox, and colleagues get confused and send emails to two addresses. Accordingly, the user must check both email accounts daily, which is not very convenient. So much spam may arrive at the email account that it’s easier to create a new one.
You must close your AOL account entirely before you can delete your email account. You will lose access to all AOL support services, including the AIM instant messaging service. In addition, your email and address book will be permanently deleted after 90 days, and you will not be able to restore your account.
How to remove your AOL account- Step By Step:
- Open the AOL mail (295) cancellation page.
- If necessary, log in to your account. If you are prompted for login information, enter your email address, click Next, enter your AOL password, and click Login.
- Click Continue to delete my account. This red button is at the bottom of the page.
- Enter your email address. Click the text box in the middle of the page, then enter your AOL account’s full email address.
- Click the “Yes” button, close that account. This is the blue button at the bottom of the page.
- Click the “Received” button when prompted. This means that your AOL account has been deleted from the AOL database and is in the process of being deleted. It may take several weeks for your AOL account to disappear from search results.
